Review: St-Ambroise Pumpkin Ale

After trying and liking the St-Ambroise Raspberry Ale, I was intrigued to try their pumpkin flavoured beer. I love everything pumpkin so I had a good feeling about this one and I was right.

I really enjoyed this autumnal beer. Curiously, I can’t actually detect any pumpkin flavour in it at all. It tastes more like pumpkin pie spices like cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice and cloves. It isn’t very sweet, but it is refreshing and punchy with just the right amount of spice. Pumpkin is low on the ingredient list, but it is there. This would be great to enjoy with any kind of roasted veggie and turkey dinner, or on its own for a little festive treat.
